This May, more than 100 fellows and junior faculty members flocked to the 2019 North American Young Rheumatology Investigator Forum held in Destin, Fla., where they presented their original research in oral and poster sessions.
From the dozens of abstracts submitted this year, an international panel of rheumatology experts selected 11 abstract authors to present their research and findings to an audience of their peers. Each abstract was meticulously judged for content quality, use of research concepts and extension of learning, practical applications and contributions to the field, learning potential, and applicability and relevance to clinical practice.
In addition, the expert panel awarded cash prizes and an iPad to those they judged to be the top four posters and best three oral presentations. Lead authors of the Top 11 Abstracts have also been invited to join Healio Rheumatology’s pool of experts, where we hope to share their insight and clinical experience with our readers.
Congratulations to the 2019 Award Winners and we look forward to seeing you at next year’s event!
