Healio Rheumatology is proud to announce the launch of Rheuminations, a podcast series hosted by Adam J. Brown, MD, focusing on medical mysteries and other ripping yarns of the immune system gone awry.
“I thought it would be fun and useful to combine my interest in history, interesting medical cases, as well as diving into up and coming topics in the field of rheumatology into an easy to listen to podcast. With this podcast, my goal is for rheumatologists — and health care providers interested in the field of rheumatology — to be able to listen on-the-go and stay up-to-date with various topics in the field, learn about interesting historic anecdotes of rheumatology and go through some great cases and learn something new, not only about rare conditions, but also bread and butter diseases,” Brown told Healio Rheumatology.
Brown, who is associate staff physician in the department of rheumatic and immunologic diseases at Cleveland Clinic, covers quick updates in the field of autoimmunity, with emphasis on new medications, treatment guidelines and explorations into the pathophysiology of diseases.
The show also includes historical perspectives in rheumatology and fascinating case presentations of medical mysteries, complete with discussions from experts in the field.
Rheuminations is available on Healio, and through all of your favorite podcast platforms, including:
“Rheuminations is a fresh and needed addition to the palate of on-the-go educational offerings for rheumatologists that’s truly different,” Leonard Calabrese, DO, chief medical editor of Healio Rheumatology and guest host on Episode 3, said in an interview. “Led by Cleveland Clinic’s Adam Brown, Rheuminations isn’t just the same old stuff, but rather a mix of cutting-edge science, rheumatology medical history, clinical pearls and diagnostic problem solving all in the span of 20 minutes. I am privileged to be part of its launch. Join us!”
