ORLANDO, Fla. — At the Rheumatology Nurses Society Annual Conference, Elizabeth Kirchner, CNP, RN-BC, spoke about vaccines for patients with rheumatic diseases.

“The shingles vaccine is a little bit of a different animal. We need to take note of what medications our patients are on and what our patients may be starting in the future, and time the shingles vaccination appropriately,” she said.
