Canada-Netherlands international partnership formed to fund research for inflammatory diseases
On March 22, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research; Reumafonds, a Dutch arthritis foundation; and ZonMw, a Dutch national organization for health research, will announce the formation of a Canada-Netherlands international partnership to fund health research into inflammatory musculoskeletal diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and psoriatic diseases, according to a press release.
“This novel partnership will start with the creation of a network that gives researchers the opportunity to expand and strengthen their research data and resources, stimulate collaboration among international scientists, and significantly move forward research in this area,” according to the release.
The Canadian Institutes of Health Research is Canada’s governmental health research investment agency and is composed of 13 institutes. It supports more than 13,000 health researchers and trainees across Canada.
