The FDA recently granted Lupin Pharmaceuticals final approval to produce the anticonvulsant drug pregabalin, which is used to treat fibromyalgia, epilepsy, post-herpectic neuralgia and diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
Pregabalin is the generic version of Lyrica (Pfizer).
The FDA approved Lupin to produce 25 mg, 50 mg, 75 mg, 100 mg, 150 mg, 200 mg, 225 mg and 300 mg capsules, although the company has not announced a production date.
