Key takeaways:

  • The American Association of Orthopaedic Executives Annual Conference highlighted ways to improve the patient experience.
  • The conference also highlighted cybersecurity measures for patient-sensitive data.

In this video, Hari Prasad, CEO and co-founder of Yosi Health, discussed his key takeaways from the American Association of Orthopaedic Executives Annual Conference in Chicago.

“Oftentimes when we look at patient experience in health care, we do not associate it with an exceptional experience for patients, unlike other retail experiences that we deliver,” Prasad told Healio. “This conference focused on some of those innovative solutions.”

According to Prasad, some of those solutions included finding ways to reduce patient wait times and using AI to improve workflow and efficiency in the clinic.

In addition, he said the conference highlighted education on cybersecurity with the aim of safeguarding patient-sensitive data.

“We were pleased to be part of the conference and we look forward to attending the conference next year as well to help orthopedic practices create and deliver an exceptional patient experience along with making sure that they are running their clinics as efficiently as they can,” Prasad said.
