Conventus Flower Orthopedics has appointed orthopedic trauma surgeon Anjan R. Shah, MD, as its new chief medical officer, according to a company press release.
“I have already experienced firsthand the company's dedication to improving the surgeon's ability to advance patient care through innovative technology,” Shah said in the release, adding that he anticipates “many other great things to come.”
Shah is a staff trauma surgeon focusing on complex orthopedic trauma and adult reconstruction with the Florida Orthopaedic Institute’s Orthopaedic Trauma Service, according to the release, as well as chief of staff and director of orthopedic trauma at Brandon Regional Hospital.
He is also an assistant professor in the University of South Florida’s orthopedic surgery residency program and was honored in 2019 and 2021 with a distinguished teaching award, according to the release.
Shah’s appointment follows those of Conventus Flower Orthopedics CEO Brad Niemann in July and Chief Operating Officer Jeff Culhane in March, as previously reported by Healio.
