VIDEO: Focus on reduction for semi-extended nailing of tibial shaft fractures
KOLOA, Hawaii — In this video from Orthopedics Today Hawaii, Daniel S. Horowitz, MD, offered some tips and tricks for semi-extended nailing in patients with tibial shaft fractures.
“It’s not as much what technique you use, [and] certainly not what implant you use,” he said. “What matters is how you achieve a reduction, how you get your starting portals and how you ensure that your final reduction is more than acceptable as essentially near-anatomic,” Horowitz added.
