CHICAGO — In this video, Justin Barad, MD, pediatric orthopedic surgeon and co-founder and CEO of Osso VR, discusses the current and future use of virtual reality in orthopedic and spine surgery.

“What I find exciting is that we can see major gains to our efficiency and our patients’ outcomes with what is arguably a video game technology,” Barad told Healio. “So, it is up to us as providers to continue to validate and see how to best utilize the technology, but to integrate it and scale it up and bring it to our residents and practicing physicians so that our patients can benefit.”
