Demonstrated in this video is the technique of ulnar collateral ligament repair with internal brace augmentation.

Gregory L. Cvetanovich, MD, associate professor of orthopedic surgery, shoulder and sports medicine at Jameson Crane Sports Medicine Institute at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, presents the steps of the repair technique in a non-overhead athlete with proximal UCL avulsion and cubital tunnel symptoms. These steps include dissection of the muscle mass down to the medial epicondyle, preparation of the proximal insertion footprint, and use of a suture and anchor to repair the UCL back to its origin in a mattress configuration.

By comparison, in overhead athletes who present with ulnar nerve symptoms, Cvetanovich would typically perform ulnar nerve transposition.
