Hoot unveils marketing solution for optometrists to boost referrals from pediatricians

Hoot Health has announced the launch of Hoot Referrals, the company’s marketing automation solution designed help optometrists connect with nearby pediatricians through targeted communications about myopia awareness.
“Specialized optometrists in myopia management now have a unique opportunity not only to improve patient care but also to expand their practice revenues by reaching an untapped market for referrals — pediatricians,” Bob Miglani, Hoot’s founder and CEO, said in a company press release.
Hoot Referrals uses geofencing technology, the company stated, which helps optometrists to send targeted communications about myopia to pediatricians in proximity to their practice. In addition, the marketing solution allows pediatricians to digitally refer more patients to local optometrists and streamlines the process of myopia diagnosis and treatment.
“Brochures, business cards and flyers left at the front desk are outdated in a mobile-driven world,” Miglani said in the release. “People prefer to watch videos. We believe health care educational videos delivered to the mobile phones of doctors and patients alike are a powerful way to raise the quality of care while growing practice revenues.”
