VIDEO: ‘Careful, intricate’ ocular exam provides more than just a diagnosis
Bisant A. Labib, OD, FAAO, Dipl(CEC), associate professor at Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, highlights the value of “a careful and intricate ocular exam,” which she discussed at Academy 2022.
“It’s so much more than diagnosing something,” Labib said in a video interview. “It’s looking at the details that led to that diagnosis and the exact clinical appearance that can be the first step in figuring out the overall clinical picture.”
