NEW ORLEANS – April Jasper, OD, urged optometrists to report any suspicions of human trafficking occurring among patients.

In her presentation here at SECO, she explained that human traffickers use force, fraud or coercion to make someone provide sex or labor against their will. Suspicions can be anonymously reported at 888-373-7888, and more information is available at humantraffickinghotline.org.
