CHICAGO — In this Healio Video Perspective from the AAO meeting, William B. Trattler, MD, discusses a study that evaluated age and keratoconus progression.

All patients included in the study had delayed cross-linking for at least 6 months.

“Our finding is that just because you are older doesn’t mean you are going to be stable,” Trattler said. “We were surprised because a large percentage of patients who were over the age of 40 did progress, and they did undergo cross-linking at that point.”
