CHICAGO – Jennifer A. Frontera, MD, professor of neurology at NYU School of Medicine, discussed possible therapeutic strategies for those with long COVID who are experiencing neurological symptoms at ANA 2022.
“Right now, [it is] estimated that there are 16 million people living with long COVID, and that has a substantial impact on peoples’ ability to engage in their normal activities, including work, leisure activities or even household responsibilities,” Frontera said. “It is a huge burden right now on society that these folks are facing, and I think it’s time to have some sort of thoughtful approach to how to help people with therapeutic management.”
