Neurolign announced the launch of NeurolignFit, a consumer health and wellness device with eye-tracking technology that allows users to track and improve their overall mental acuity.

"The brain, just like any other part of the human body, needs to be exercised and cared for, and with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic reinvigorating public dialogue around wellness, a product like NeurolignFit has never been more prescient," Eugene Melnyk, chairman and CEO of Neurolign, said in a press release. "Until now, the research-backed benefits of eye-based neuro-functional evaluation have been out of reach for the public. By putting the power of this technology into an intuitive, gamified consumer device, Neurolign is hoping to change the way people think about and improve their brain health and wellness."

NeurolignFit incorporates a handheld device and mobile app that use clinical-grade eye-tracking technology for a series of rapid, noninvasive neurological evaluations. Data are then entered into an algorithm that provides feedback on users’ latest brain performance in areas of mental sharpness, focus and movement, as well as provides users with a series of gamified eye-based exercises for training those areas over time.

Although this technology has traditionally been confined to devices that are only operable in a professional setting such as research labs and clinical facilities, NeurolignFit will allow “high-potential brain health tech” to enter consumers’ homes for the first time, according to the release.

"Neurolign's eye-tracking technology is backed with 30 patents, [more than 60] research citations and eight clinical studies in the past year alone, alongside extensive peer consultation," Alex Kiderman, PhD, Neurolign's vice president of technology development, said in the release. "NeurolignFit is the culmination of our efforts to consolidate the tremendous power of clinical eye-tracking technology into a consumer-friendly platform. The ability to put brain health tools into the hands of consumers marks a turning point for wellness technology writ large."
