This month on Community: Mobile app, mentoring, Book Club happenings

It’s been a busy first quarter here at Healio Community.

Since our launch in January, the team has been working hard to plan events for 2025, set up our mobile app and put the finishing touches on our mentoring program. We’ve also launched multiple groups, including our latest: Book Club.

Here’s a closer look at what’s new this month.

Stay connected

The Healio Community mobile app provides instant access to our platform in real time so you can stay connected to colleagues, check out the latest discussions and RSVP for exciting events from the convenience of your mobile device. Be sure to turn on push notifications so you never miss a thing.

The app is available on both iOS and Android devices via the App Store and Google Play.

Pay it forward

The Community Mentoring Program is up and running and we’re looking for dedicated mentors and eager mentees to join our growing pool of participants. The mentor-mentee relationship is a cornerstone of professional development, offering invaluable guidance and support. If you’re ready to pay it forward and add mentoring experience to your CV, apply to be a mentor today. Or, if you’re looking for guidance and support from someone with similar goals or interests, search the list of available mentors and connect with your best match.

You can access the mentoring program here.

A place for book lovers

Our Community Book Club launched in February with a giveaway of Just One Heart: A Cardiologist’s Guide to Healing, Health, and Happiness by Jonathan Fisher, MD, FACC, to coincide with American Heart Month. In April, Fisher returns to Community to discuss his book — stay tuned for details!

Also, on Wednesday, March 26, at 1 p.m. EST, we’ll host our first Book Club Meet Up with internal medicine physician and scientist, Sharon Horesh Bergquist, MD, author of The Stress Paradox: Why You Need Stress to Live Longer, Healthier, and Happier.

Bergquist will join us to discuss how the latest science indicates that we’ve gotten the story on stress wrong, and that by incorporating five essential good stressors, we can unlock a sharper mind, improved mood, healthier gut and reduced risk for common chronic diseases.

You can register for the event here.

If you haven’t already, join us on Community and connect with someone new, give your input to discussions that resonate with you or sign up to attend an upcoming event.

If you have an idea for a new group, event or any feedback on the platform, don’t hesitate to reach out to me via email at sadams@healio.com. I hope to see you there.
