Alexandra (Sasha) Todak

Todak is Vice President, Quality Assurance and Training, supporting content development across the Healio brand. She received a BA in English literature and French from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and her MFA in creative writing (fiction) from Rutgers University-Camden. 

 

Todak joined Healio in 2013 as an editorial assistant and subsequently has served as a staff reporter, executive editor and editorial director. She spent 8 years focused on hematology/oncology and spearheaded a collaborative blog between Healio's Women in Oncology and Women in Medicine. Most recently, she was involved in the launch of the Healio Allergy/Asthma news feed and the Climate Change & Health Resource Center, in addition to serving as editor of the Healio Pulmonology news feed. 

 

Todak and her team have received multiple awards in the APEX Awards for Publication Excellence and American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors (ASHPE) competitions. She won the ASHPE silver award for best single news/analysis article for a cover story on liquid biopsies in 2015.
