My biggest goal as an interventional pulmonologist is to make my ability to get out to a nodule in the lung as safe and as accurate as humanly possible. I would love to see the possible repercussions or side effects from a lung biopsy be zero, but I would say it's kinda like driving in LA, it's never zero. So, I'd love to see the accuracy go up to a 100% So every time we go out to biopsy nodule, we know, and you know exactly what you're dealing with and I never have to come back saying, "Well, we're not sure today and we're gonna have to monitor you to make sure this nodule goes away or it doesn't grow." Accuracy would be the number one thing and now with all the immunotherapies coming out, which it seems like every day we have a new way to treat lung cancer, making sure I get that tissue to give to the oncologist and maximize your treatment.
