VIDEO: Panel discusses roadblocks in cancer drug development

In this video, Lillian L. Siu, MD, FRCPC, discussed a panel discussion at 2021 AACR-NCI-EORTC International Conference on Molecular Targets and Cancer Therapeutics on the topic of in drug development roadblocks.

Siu, senior medical oncologist at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto, ON, Canada, said the panel discussion included various drug development experts from the FDA, pharmaceutical companies and academia.

A notable talking point was the need to engage patients in the discovery and development of new drugs, said Siu.

"Those kinds of discussions and solutions to help improve the drug development arena are important to have," Siu said.
