ORLANDO — In this video exclusive, Osagie Ebekozien, MD, MPH, CPHQ, chief medical officer at T1D Exchange, talks about a victory in increasing access to continuous glucose monitors.

A targeted intervention reduced gaps in US CGM use between non-Hispanic Black and non-Hispanic white people with type 1 diabetes by 8% and between Hispanic and non-Hispanic white people with diabetes by 5%.

Ebekozien also announced a T1D Exchange partnership with the American Diabetes Association to put together a conference on diabetes health equity called ADEPT to convene in Chicago in November.
