CHICAGO—In this video exclusive, Vin Tangpricha, MD, PhD, discusses recent legislation prohibiting or seeking to prohibit physicians from providing gender-confirming care.
Tangpricha, who is professor of medicine in the division of endocrinology, metabolism and lipids at Emory University School of Medicine, describes the recent AMA House of Delegates resolution that endorsed the necessity of access to gender-confirming hormone therapy and urged against the criminalization of physicians and patients utilizing this therapy. The resolution supports existing Endocrine Society guidelines.
