In this video, Saakshi Khattri, MBBS, MD, discussed questions and concerns around the impact COVID-19 has on patients with psoriatic disease, including drug interactions.
“Right now, we don’t know exactly how having psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis or being on treatments meaningfully alters a patient’s risk or whether it heralds a worse outcome from COVID-19,” Khattri, assistant professor of dermatology, rheumatology and internal medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, explained.
She also touched on adapting to telehealth visits and recommendations if a patient is diagnosed with, or has symptoms of, SARS-COV-2 infection.
