VIDEO: SCAI plans international expansion
LAS VEGAS — In this video exclusive, Ehtisham Mahmud, MD, FACC, FSCAI, the new president of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, outlines some of the initiatives he hopes to undertake during his presidency, which began at the end of SCAI’s Scientific Sessions.
Mahmud, who is division chief of cardiovascular medicine, executive director – medicine at the Cardiovascular Institute, director of interventional cardiology and the cardiac cath lab and professor of medicine at the University of California, San Diego, said SCAI is “planning an international expansion and partnering with global interventional cardiology societies and organizations” to “come up with an international, unified approach toward interventional cardiology.”
