VIDEO: Entry of more women physicians driving ‘huge change’ in field of allergy

In this segment of Healio’s Women in Allergy video corner series, Priya J. Bansal, MD, FAAAAI, FACAAI, discusses changes she has observed in the field of allergy, including a changing physician landscape and new innovations.

“I think what’s the most exciting for me is the entry of more women,” Bansal, allergist and immunologist at Asthma and Allergy Wellness Center in Saint Charles, Illinois, faculty member at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine, and consulting medical editor for Healio’s Women in Allergy, said. “That’s a huge change in our field.”

Bansal also highlighted the ongoing developments and innovation happening in the field.

“It doesn’t matter whether it’s in the field of asthma, food allergy [or] EoE, there’s just so much rapid development and that’s really exciting to be a part of that,” she said.
