VIDEO: ‘Practical content,’ ‘real-world data’ part of CHEST 2022
Sandhya Khurana, MD, FCCP, spoke with Healio about key takeaways from the CHEST Annual Meeting that she plans to incorporate into her practice.
“[CHEST] actually included a lot of good content, practical content, on things that guidelines don’t cover and randomized controlled trials don’t always tell us, such as selection of biologics,” Khurana, director of the Mary Parkes Center for Asthma, Allergy and Pulmonary Care and professor of pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center, told Healio. “There was a lot of real-world data that was discussed.”
Khurana also noted the need to redefine mild asthma and the continuum between type 2 and non-type 2 asthma as two of several takeaways from the meeting.
