Demonstrated in this video is the outside-in double lasso technique for meniscal repair.

During standard diagnostic arthroscopy, Ryan J. Urchek, MD, Dorsey R. Ek, MD, MS, and colleagues at Summa Health Orthopedic Surgery in Akron, Ohio identify a horizontal tear of the mid-body segment of the lateral meniscus and decide to perform an outside-in vertical mattress repair of the meniscus. It is important to note the outside-in double lasso technique can be used for multiple meniscal tear morphologies of the anterior horn to mid-body segment of the medial or lateral meniscus utilizing either vertical mattress sutures, horizontal mattress sutures or a combination of the two.

Also detailed in the video are the materials needed, as well as key steps for assembly of the double lasso in preparation for the outside-in double lasso loop repair.
