VIDEO: CPT coding updates will not change orthopedic practice ‘significantly’ in 2022
WAIKOLOA, Hawaii — In this video from Orthopedics Today Hawaii, William R. Beach, MD, spoke about the latest topics in orthopedic practice management, including insurance, reimbursement, bundled payments and CPT coding updates.
“We talked about some bundling issues in terms of sports medicine. Right now, there is a lot of activity in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Coding Coverage [and] Reimbursement Committee on spine and arthrodesis, etc.,” he said. “But in terms of coding issues, I don’t think there is a significant amount of CPT things going on that will change the practice significantly for 2022.”
