MedShape announces Gregory C. Berlet, MD, FRCS(C), FAOA, as chief medical officer

MedShape Inc. has appointed Gregory C. Berlet, MD, FRCS(C), FAOA, an orthopedic foot and ankle specialist with more than 22 years of experience, as its chief medical officer, according to a press release.
Berlet will head MedShape’s product development, research, marketing and medical education initiatives, which are designed to apply active, adaptive healing approaches to improve orthopedic patient outcomes, according to the release.
“MedShape is changing the paradigm for how fusion is addressed in foot [and] ankle orthopedics with the company’s products demonstrating clinical success across various challenging patient populations,” Berlet said in the release. “I look forward to working with the MedShape team to deliver novel dynamic fusion solutions to more patients and to develop a better understanding on how dynamic fixation impacts the healing process,” he added.
