Inspired Spine has received FDA 510(k) clearance for its Trident sacroiliac joint screw system, the company announced in a press release.

The sacroiliac (SI) joint system, manufactured by Advanced Research Medical, has one main screw and two side screws which deliver three approaches in a single trajectory, according to the company. The single incision and corresponding pre-planned fixed trajectory substantially decrease required procedure time to approximately 15 minutes, the company said in the release.

“We continue to raise the standard of care for back pain treatment as this SI joint fusion technique represents another Inspired Spine breakthrough for surgeons and patients alike,” Hamid Abbasi, MD, the chief medical officer of Inspired Spine, said in the release.
