Paragon 28 Inc. has received FDA clearance for its APEX 3D total ankle replacement technology, according to a company press release.

The system includes porous 3Dprinted implants and vitamin E-infused highly crosslinked polyethylene technologies to increase implant survivorship and stability.

“[Paragon 28] remains committed to providing better outcomes in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery,” Albert DaCosta, the president and CEO of Paragon 28, said in the release. “The total ankle is another giant step in fulfillment of our mission. The timing is ideal to offer the next generation of ankle technology for patients desiring a more active lifestyle,” he added.
