KOLOA, Hawaii — At Orthopedics Today Hawaii, Jack M. Bert, MD, said orthopedic surgeons can work with an employer to reduce health care expenses in the United States. He said all orthopedic surgeons should look at their cases and figure out how they can set up a bundled payment system to reduce the costs of health care and be considered a preferred provider in their area by employers.
