KOLOA, Hawaii — During a Facebook Live at Orthopedics Today Hawaii, Anthony A. Romeo, MD, and Matthew T. Provencher, MD, spoke about the use of orthobiologics in orthopedics.

“It seems we have reached a plateau. If we are going to get more things to heal well, we are going to start adding things that make things grow,” Romeo said.

Provencher said that orthobiologics is probably the most exciting things in orthopedics.

“It touches all specialties in orthopedics, but also touches cardiologists and radiologists who look at how we are improving outcomes by adding biology,” Provencher said.
