OrthoGrid Systems Inc. received FDA 510(k) clearance for the PhantomMSK Trauma application.

According to a company press release, OrthoGrid’s PhantomMSK is a universal software platform that assists with implantation, instrumentation and anatomic alignment that uses fluoroscopic imaging. It reportedly is the only intraoperative alignment technology on the market to correct image distortion related to external electromagnetic interference during orthopedic surgeries. OrthoGrid’s intelligence-guided systems are designed to interface with current hospital equipment and to increase precision and lower the rate of hospital readmissions.

“This milestone represents years of scientific research and data, product development and our commitment to empowering surgeons in the OR with advanced decision support tools,” Edouard Saget, co-founder and CEO of OrthoGrid Systems, said in the release.
