LimaCorporate announces FDA approval for 3D shoulder planner, positioner
LimaCorporate announced FDA 510(k) approval for its Smart SPACE Shoulder 3D Planner and 3D Positioner.
According to a company press release, the Smart SPACE devices provide 3D preoperative planning and 3D positioners for surgeons. The next step for the device is to integrate intraoperative surgical guidance systems to simplify shoulder arthroplasty for surgeons and create precision in personalized patient care.
“With this first important step now achieved, we are on our way to making a significant contribution to transforming how orthopedic surgery is approached today with digital technologies combined with hardware, all in the hands of the surgeon,” Luigi Ferrari, CEO of LimaCorporate, said in the release.
The full roll-out of Smart SPACE technology will be applicable to shoulder, hip and knee arthroplasty.
