In light of the importance of medical device registries, a series of other related events are organized in the near future, one of which is a joint workshop co-organized by the BioMed Alliance, the European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaedics and Traumatology and European Society of Cardiology.
The Biomedical Alliance in Europe (BioMed Alliance), together with the European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (EFORT) and European Society of Cardiology (ESC), extends an invitation to attend the Joint Workshop on Medical Device Registries on 17 June 2019 in Brussels.
As the European Union prepares to implement new medical devices regulation in May 2020, the workshop will aim to explore what role clinical registries may play in informing regulators’ market surveillance activities and to identify a possible common framework for EU registries responding to the needs of regulators, patients, physicians and industry.
The event will bring together key experts in data collection, review and management, including European Commission officials, health care professionals and patient and industry representatives.
The program will include three sessions: a regulatory session exploring the EU regulatory framework; a panel session where clinicians will share their experiences and best practices in registries for medical devices; and a session on future directions that builds on an open-floor discussion with the audience.
To secure attendance at the workshop, send an email to: office@biomedeurope.org.
Please note that space is limited and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
