Bioventus announced the launch of Osteoamp Select Fibers, an addition to its allograft line of Osteoamp bone graft substitutes for spine, foot and ankle, orthopedic and trauma surgeons.

According to a company press release, the Osteoamp Select Fibers are processed to retain growth factors that support bone formation. The nanotextured fibers allow for cell migration. The Osteoamp Select Fibers provide adaptable handling for users which advances the handling properties of allograft bone graft. The fibers come in five sizes from 1 cc to 15 cc.

“Osteoamp Select Fibers have already been successfully utilized in multiple procedure types in both spine and foot and ankle specialties. Its absorption profile and ability to expand provide surgeons with clinical flexibility as the interlocking fibers can be easily molded and packed to conform to any bone void,” Tony Bihl, CEO of Bioventus, said in the release. “This new allograft solution joins our original Osteoamp offerings in putty, sponge and granule formats, giving surgeons more options for bone healing and remodeling while delivering positive patient outcomes.”
