VIDEO: First year of single, preferred TJA vendor program yielded significant cost savings
LAS VEGAS — At the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting, Joseph A. Bosco III, MD, discussed the next evolution in a single-vendor joint implant program at NYU Langone Health, which has decreased price based on volume. The program has reduced the cost of total joint arthroplasty prostheses by 25% and was a way to create value for patients by decreasing the cost of their care without decreasing quality, he said.
