WAIKOLOA, Hawaii — At Orthopedics Today Hawaii, John D. Kelly IV, MD, said most rotator cuff tears are repairable. He said reducing rotator cuff tears is similar to reducing a fracture and that surgeons need to recognize tear patterns. He said when tears are not repairable, total shoulder arthroplasty and suprascapular reconstruction are good options.
