NuVasive announces new organizational structure, leadership team

NuVasive Inc. announced a new organizational structure and associated executive team selected by company CEO J. Christopher Barry, according to a press release.

Barry has been CEO of NuVasive since Nov. 5, 2018.

“After assessing the company over the past 2 months as CEO, it is clear that NuVasive benefits from significant talent across the organization,” Barry said in the release. “Our new structure will enable us to better capitalize on this talent by fostering cross-functional collaboration, consolidating complementary functions and increasing accountability. I am confident this leadership team and our new structure, along with disciplined execution, will better position NuVasive to fulfill our commitments to patients, surgeons, employees and shareholders, and drive NuVasive’s success and sustainable growth."

The leadership team that begins effective immediately and will report to Barry includes:

Matt Link, who will continue to serve as company president and will have direct management of NuVasive Clinical Services and Global Logistics;

Raj Asarpota, who will continue to serve as executive vice president and chief financial officer and lead NuVasive’s finance, accounting, internal audit and tax functions;

Nate Sisitsky, Esq., who will continue to serve as general counsel and corporate secretary and lead NuVasive’s legal function, NuVasive Spine Foundation and oversee the real estate and facilities function;

Jim Garrett, Esq., who is the current chief compliance officer and leader of the global risk and integrity function, and will now also oversee the business and quality systems functions, which includes regulatory affairs/quality affairs, information technology, and environmental health and safety;

Lucas Vitale, who was named chief human resources officer;

Suzanne Hatcher, who will continue to lead the internal and external affairs functions, which include investor relations, public relations and internal communications; and

Dale Wolf, who will continue to oversee manufacturing efforts.
