Judging by all the received comments about the past editions, the EFORT Comprehensive Review Course is widely considered to be a basic step in orthopaedic and trauma training and a paramount 1-day exercise to prepare for a typical interim assessment. The high attendance and early interest raised by this educational program are additional reasons why it has become a constant component of our annual meetings.
This new edition of the Comprehensive Review Course (CRC), which is scheduled for Wednesday, 5 June 2019, aims once more at providing the core theoretical knowledge expected from any orthopaedic and trauma (O&T) trainee at the end of his/her specialty curriculum. The course is also a convenient way for experienced and senior surgeons or consultants to obtain an update of current practices and state-of-the-art information that encompasses the whole area of orthopaedics and traumatology.

This detailed program proved to deliver sufficiently wide and well-balanced scientific content, complemented by the interactivity of the audience.
The criteria for selecting the speakers are not limited to having a high professional qualification within each topic, but also include the necessity of having a lively speaking style and the ability to use great pedagogic visual sketches. Indeed, a specific publication is released to go with the educational content of this full-day course – the CRC Syllabus – with includes full manuscripts on each presented topic. This publication, distributed to all registered CRC delegates, strengthens the learning experience by providing key references and illustrations endorsing the content of the presentations. Moreover, each chapter includes three to five questions in the MCQ exam format to give specific examples of questions faced during an interim assessment.
Importantly, the compact structure of the CRC allows participants to also attend other specialized sessions during the following 2 days of the congress. A special registration package ensures participants can benefit from this combined educational planning. The CRC also can be booked alone. The fee includes all educational material and a lunch offered onsite.
As pre-registration is mandatory, young orthopaedic surgeons and residents in training are invited to visit our online registration platform as of 7 January 2019 to seize the opportunity to attend the most complete and quick recap of O&T knowledge in Europe. Spaces in the course are limited to 200 attendees on a first-come, first-served basis. Register now.
