BOSTON — At the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society Annual Meeting, Judith F. Baumhauer, MD, MS, MPH, discusses a study that examined the 5.8-year survivorship, pain, functional outcomes and safety parameters of a synthetic implant that was placed in the great toe for arthritis. She said the implant demonstrated an 84% survivorship after 5 years, with durable follow-up, “excellent” outcomes and efficacy.
