ORLANDO, Fla. — At the North American Spine Society Annual Meeting, H. Francis Farhadi, MD, PhD, discussed a study that assessed the clinical and radiologic outcomes following sublaminar band placement for proximal junctional kyphosis prophylaxis in adult spinal deformity surgery. He said the band placement is a safe procedure and may allow for a decrease in the proximal junctional kyphosis failure rate.
