VANCOUVER, British Columbia — At the Orthopaedic Trauma Association Annual Meeting, A. Alex Jahangir, MD, discussed initiatives some states have undertaken to reduce the use of opioid consumption in the United States. For example, some states have created guidelines that limit the number of prescriptions a physician can write to a patient at one time.
