Hip and knee arthroplasty has become more common and the number of people needing such a procedure will increase in the future due to several factors, including advances in the technology, an increase in obesity rates during the past decade, an aging population worldwide and an increase in procedures among younger patients. At the same time, developments in orthopaedic surgery for hip or knee replacement are rapidly evolving.
The objective of the Trans-Atlantic Current Concepts in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Congress — which is scheduled to be held 30 November to 1 December 2017 in Maastricht, the Netherlands in collaboration with the Dutch Hip Society and the Dutch Knee Society and colleagues from the United States — is to equip orthopaedic surgeons and collaborating providers, institutions, manufacturers, buyers and patients with the knowledge they need today and in the future to ensure best practices in hip and knee arthroplasty. The goal is to ensure safety and quality for patients.
We must stay updated by embracing evidence-based, emerging techniques, as well as maintaining efficiency and digitization to reduce recovery time and improve patient outcomes.
We believe that participating in this prestigious event will stimulate, educate and equip attendees with the most advanced and up-to-date information in respect to the hip and knee current concepts. We hope the scientific program and our hospitality will match your expectations.
