Carevature announces limited market launch of spinal decompression system

Carevature announced a limited market launch in the United States for its Dreal product line, which is designed to help surgeons achieve better outcomes in spinal decompression surgeries, according to a company press release.

According to the release, six centers in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut and Texas are taking part in the limited market release. The curved design of the system reportedly allows orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons to perform spinal decompression faster and with less trauma. Use of the Dreal reportedly reduces OR and hospitalization time for patients who undergo spinal decompression and patients who undergo procedures with the system can be released from the hospital faster than those who undergo procedures with standard surgical devices.

“This is a significant milestone for the entire Carevature team,” Yosi Weitzman, Carevature founder and chief executive officer, said in the release. “It is exciting to see our hard work and dedication make a difference to patients’ lives and well-being. We look forward to introducing Dreal to more centers as part of our full commercial launch planned for 2017.”
