SAN DIEGO — Benjamin G. Domb, MD, discussed a study that compared hip arthroscopy outcomes of acute vs. chronic labral tears in adolescents at a minimum 2-year follow-up. He said patients with acute labral tears improved more with hip arthroscopy, but had functional outcomes equivalent to patients with chronic labral tears. Domb also noted patients with acute labral tears had a greater rate of secondary operations.
