Corin Group announces launch of reverse shoulder system in US market
Corin Group announced the U.S. launch of the Humelock Reversed Shoulder System.
According to a company press release, the Humelock Reversed Shoulder System was developed by FX Solutions, a privately held French company, to treat cuff tear arthropathy. The Humelock Reversed Shoulder System is available in European and other international markets and received FDA clearance in January 2017. Corin holds a distribution agreement for the system, which grants the company the right to distribute the system in the United States (U.S.), the United Kingdom and Germany.
“Our partnership with FX Solutions allows Corin to increase their offering in shoulder arthroplasty, whilst we continue to expand solutions in hip and knee,” Paul Berman, president of Corin USA, said in the release. “Our goal is to provide surgeons, hospitals, health systems and patients with a new and comprehensive approach to orthopedics and joint replacement. The launch of the Humelock Reversed Shoulder System means patients in the U.S. will have access to an important new option for reverse shoulder replacement.”
