SLACK Incorporated to launch all-new Orthopedics Today at AAOS Annual Meeting

THOROFARE, N.J. — SLACK Incorporated announced the launch of the all-new Orthopedics Today, which will offer a greater emphasis on content that matters most to orthopedic surgeons and their practice.

Beginning with the March issue and debuting at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting in San Diego, the new enhancements will focus on physician perspectives, surgical techniques, cover stories and meeting coverage.

“Based on reader feedback, we are bringing perspective from the leaders in the field, surgical technique articles, and live meeting coverage to the forefront of the news. We are taking readers beyond just news, with original, in-depth reporting on current issues that are critical concerns of the orthopedic surgeon,” Joan-Marie Stiglich, ELS, Chief Content Officer of SLACK Incorporated, said. “At the same time, we made it easier to navigate the content in print. Readers will find a crisper, cleaner look with larger fonts, more clinical photos and radiographs. Our popular In the Journals column will also be more prominent, providing summaries of key research from the top peer-reviewed journals in orthopedics.”

“I’m looking forward to introducing this new editorial focus that meets the changing informational needs of the orthopedic surgeon,” Anthony A. Romeo, MD, Orthopedic Today’s Chief Medical Editor, said. “Once again, Orthopedics Today’s commitment to independence and editorial excellence will continue to help orthopedic surgeons stay informed on the most-needed updates in our profession, ultimately translating into improved outcomes for patients in our care.”

For 36 years, Orthopedics Today, the only independent clinical news source for orthopedic surgeons, has delivered news of the latest advances and gold standards in the practice of musculoskeletal health care.
