Paragon 28 announced the launch of the Baby Gorilla Mini Plating System, a small bone fixation system designed for use in the foot and ankle.

According to a company press release, the Baby Gorilla Mini Plating System is based on the classic Gorilla Plating System, but the plates are narrower and the screws are smaller to fit the anatomy of the foot and ankle. The system provides 65 plating options from 13 plating families, which are all designed to accept 2-mm and 2.5-mm locking and non-locking variable angle plate screws. In addition, the system includes specially designed instrumentation, such as curettes, reduction clamps, osteotomes, plate bending tools and compression and distraction devices, which are engineered specifically for small bone fractures and reconstruction procedures.
